I am a Yoga Alliance RYT 250 qualified yoga teacher.
One of my core beliefs as a teacher is that everyone should be able to do yoga - regardless of fitness level, body type, strength, or condition.
My very first experience with yoga was in a restorative yoga class in February 2013.
I started doing yoga regularly from September 2013 out of curiosity. It unexpectedly healed a painful lower back injury, which amazed and delighted me.
Since then, yoga has completely changed my quality of life. It brings me joy and excitement to share the same positive benefits I've experienced. My training at Samadhi Yoga Dublin was given by highly experienced E-RYT 500 teachers. It was based on classical yoga and included clinical anatomy and physiology, asana teaching and adjustments, pranayama, prenatal yoga, yoga history and philosophy, mantras, meditation, and kriyas. I have also completed a 40-hour teacher training in Ashtanga Yoga with David Swenson, who is renowned as one of the world's leading Ashtanga Yoga teachers, having studied with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.
My classes focus on balanced movement, correct alignment, and safety. I enjoy creating varied sequences and cooling down with restorative poses. I love teaching inversions and watching students surprise themselves with their courage and inner strength. I'm inspired by ashtanga, vinyasa, and Iyengar yoga.
I have experience with many styles of yoga, including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Iyengar, Hatha, Restorative, Yin, Kundalini, Sivananda, Bikram, and hot yoga. I continuously engage in workshops and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities to deepen my practice and advance my teaching skills, understanding of yoga history and philosophy, and compassion.
My inspirations are Kino MacGregor, David Swenson, Meghan Currie, Laruga Glaser, and every teacher I've had the good fortune to learn from on my ongoing journey. Atma namaste!
